Donors of $1,200+ to Habitat for Humanity Sarasota’s Annual Campaign are members of the Team Build Sponsors Circle.
Working on a Habitat for Humanity Sarasota project is a great way to bring your group together to get to know one another, focus on teamwork, and serve the community while having a great time! We welcome groups of all kinds to join our work. As a sponsor, you commit up to 20 volunteers and provide funds of your chosen sponsorship to purchase construction materials for the duration of your sponsorship, changing the life of a local family forever.

Team Build Sponsorships
Becoming a Team Build Sponsor of a Habitat partner family endeavoring to build their house is easy!
The reasons for choosing to become a house sponsor center around team building and personal empowerment. The choice to sponsor a Habitat house is an entirely selfless act. Partner families, as well as the community benefit as follows:
An affordable house offers a deserving family in need the chance to:
- dramatically improve their lives and the future of their children
- offers Habitat homeowners an affordable 0% interest mortgage; instills pride of ownership
- Partner families invest 300 - 500 hours of their own sweat equity
- It often reduces the amount previously paid for subsisting in a substandard dwelling-easing financial burden. It represents a value to the city in terms of generating additional tax revenues.
- Sustains our workforce and the economy in Sarasota by providing the need for affordable housing in our communities.
