Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Sarasota! Habitat for Humanity’s mission in Sarasota - and worldwide – is to partner with the community to provide decent, affordable housing for people in need so that they may build better lives for their families.
Are you ready to join us?
There are many ways that volunteers carry out our mission in Sarasota. Volunteers help build homes, re-build homes, staff our Home Improvement Outlet Store, and work in our administrative offices.
They also lend their expertise to Habitat’s organizational committees.

It is our goal to help you find the volunteer job that best suits your skills, interests, and schedule. Keep in mind that we’re flexible. You can volunteer on a regular basis, for a one-time project, or drop in as you’re available. We welcome you to volunteer as an individual or with a group (pdf) from your company, school, faith community or civic organization.
Please note that volunteers are allowed to begin working on-site with Habitat for Humanity at age 14. Any volunteer between the ages of 14 and 17 must have a parent or guardian sign the liability waiver (pdf). If you know of a young person under the age of 14 interested in helping Habitat, please visit Habitat's Youth Page or contact me directly and I can provide you with suggested activities.

If you need Habitat to sign any paperwork for you (volunteer hours for school, community service hours, etc.), please be sure to bring your form with you and we will be glad to verify the hours you serve with us.
